Hi all. I’m looking for someone interested in joining me for some off-trail hiking on a Sierra High Route section, roughly from Bishop Pass or Lamarck Col dropping down to Evolution Valley north to Lake Italy, and then out via Pine Creek Pass.
I previously hiked the southernmost section of the SHR from Roads End to Bishop Pass, so now I’m on to the next section, trying to stay off trail (thus avoiding most of the overlap with the JMT). On trail I typically hike around 12 to 14 miles per day, so off trail would be closer to 10 to 12 miles. This hike would be like 4 to 5 nights.
I’m looking at August or September, but I am very flexible on timing.
I don’t love the idea of doing off-trail passes alone, so let me know if you have any interest!
