Hello,
I am using the OR crocodile in the wet PNW snow. On a single day trip, it works great. But on overnight, snow sticks to the velcro closure and makes it impossible to close at the bottom. They get super bulky with snow and won’t close that well in the morning. Even if I manage to get the closed, they just flay open and essentially funnel the snow into my boots. I’ve tried by best to brush off any snow stuck in the velcro the night before, but it sticks to the loop section pretty badly. I’ve been thinking about putting a snap onto the velcro flap at the bottom so it should theoretically stay closed, but I wonder if that too will freeze up or interfere with the gaiter in some fashion.
Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?
Thanks.
